MUMBAI — The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell is reportedly preparing to conduct the MHT CET 2027 Phase 1 examinations as early as December 2026. While official confirmation and the complete notification are awaited, registrations for the upcoming entrance tests are expected to commence soon on the official website.
Following the multi-phase exam patterns used previously, the entrance tests for engineering, technology, and pharmacy courses (B.E./B.Tech) across Maharashtra are expected to follow similar guidelines.
Key Exam Highlights & Pattern:
- Exam Mode: Computer-Based Test (Online CBT).
- Duration: 3 hours total, divided into two automatic 90-minute sections (Section 1 for Physics & Chemistry; Section 2 for Mathematics or Biology).
- Marking Scheme & Syllabus: Based on both Class 11 and Class 12 syllabi from various boards. Each question carries 1 mark (except Mathematics which carries 2 marks per question), with no negative marking for incorrect or unattempted answers.
- Best Score Consideration: For candidates appearing in multiple phases, the best score will be factored into the final CAP admission rounds.
