Why Merge Signature with Photo?
In the digital age of competitive exams and government applications, document specifications are becoming increasingly strict. Many portals, especially for exams like SSC CGL, UPSC, JEE, and NEET, now require candidates to upload a single image file that contains both their passport-sized photograph and their signature below it.
Traditionally, candidates had to print their photo, sign below it, and scan the physical paper. This resulted in poor quality and rejected applications. Our Signature on Photo Tool solves this digitally. It allows you to overlay a clear, digital signature onto your photo file with pixel-perfect precision.
Key Features for Applicants
- Auto-Background Removal: You don't need a transparent PNG signature. Just upload a photo of your signature on white paper, and our smart algorithm (Thresholding) will make the white background transparent instantly.
- Safe & Secure: All processing happens in your browser (Client-Side). Your personal photos and signatures are never uploaded to our servers, ensuring 100% privacy.
- Lossless Quality: We use high-fidelity HTML5 Canvas rendering to ensure your photo stays sharp and the signature remains legible.
How to get the best results?
1. For the Photo: Use a standard passport photo file (Aspect Ratio 3.5cm x 4.5cm). Ensure the background is plain (white or light blue) as per exam rules.
2. For the Signature: Sign on a clean white sheet of paper using a thick black marker or gel pen. Avoid blue ink if the exam notification specifies "Black Ink Only". Take the photo in good lighting to avoid shadows.
Common Issues & Fixes
Signature looks grey/faded: This happens if your original signature photo was taken in dim light. Try increasing the brightness of your signature image before uploading, or re-take the photo near a window.
Signature is too small: Use the "Signature Size" slider above. We recommend setting the width to about 80% of the photo width for visibility.
Technical Specifications
The output file generated is a high-quality JPEG image with 95% compression quality, striking the perfect balance between visual clarity and file size (usually under 50KB-100KB), making it ready for upload.
